The month of January is National Mentoring Month. This is a public awareness campaign that promotes the importance of mentoring in the lives of youth and their mentors. This year's theme is "Mentoring Works!" Throughout the month, we will be promoting mentoring and National Mentoring Month via social media, by using the hashtags #mentoringworks and #someonewhomatters. Feel free to join with us in this, by sharing your mentoring experiences on social media!
Santa and his helper read to eager children during story time
Many thanks to everyone who came out and supported Everybody Wins! Iowa at our Barnes and Noble Book Fair in December. We had a wonderful time, and Santa even made an appearance to do some reading! We are happy to report that we raised $2,165.35 to buy books for our programs, as well as over $100 of donations for our gift wrapping station.
We are also so appreciative of our Board Members, School Coordinators, Mentors, and other volunteers who came out to help the book fair run as smoothly as possible. We couldn't have done it without you!
Recent Funding Received
Everybody Wins! Iowa received a grant from Theisen's, in order to help support our programming in Indianola. Thanks, Theisen's!
Thanks to John Deere Financial for supporting the mentoring program at Findley Elementary School for another year! We are so appreciative of your contributions!
We are still looking for mentors in a majority of our schools! For map of school locations and reading times, click here.
